100% Wi-Fi On Mainline Aircraft

That's right. United has Wi-Fi on 100% of our mainline aircraft. You can now connect, watch your favorite programming or work onboard over 800 planes in our fleet. Our United Express regional jets are also getting the Wi-Fi upgrade as Gogo's ATG-4 advanced air-to-ground Wi-Fi product is being installed on E170, E175 and CRJ700 aircraft, with over 95% of the regional jet fleet already Wi-Fi enabled.

Planned installations should be complete by October 2016.

Accessing United Wi-Fi onboard is easy. Simply choose United Wi-Fi from the menu of internet access points on your device and you will be led to the Wi-Fi portal. Additionally, you can access our onboard entertainment by downloading the mobile app prior to boarding.

United Wi-Fi pricing will vary. On select flights, travelers can use MileagePlus miles to purchase Wi-Fi internet access. This feature is offered via our new portal, currently available on select aircraft and expanding to more aircraft throughout 2016. Have you always been curious how Wi-Fi works at 35,000 feet? Your Bags Are In Good Hands
Another reason to celebrate record-setting performance this year? For the months of April and May, we kept more customers connected with their bags, achieving our lowest-ever mishandled baggage ratio in the combined company history. We recently introduced a new bag scanning process and technology to track and re-route bags accordingly. We are now consistently scanning more than 98 percent of bags to ensure safe and proper delivery.

Bigger bins are arriving on all new Boeing 737s
Introducing "Space Bins," larger storage spaces modeled after our 787 Dreamliner bins. The new bins allow 40 additional bags on a 737-700, 56 additional bags on the 737-800 and 62 additional bags on the 737-900ER. The lower bin-lip height makes loading and visual inspection of the bins easier, and no bin-assist mechanism is required to close the bins.
